Metabolic Type

Metabolic typing is not a ‘diet’.

 

Your body responds uniquely to food based on your genetics, biochemical makeup, family history and your own interaction with your environment. This explains why some foods that are considered ‘healthy’ may make one person feel energetic and lose weight, while leaving another feeling unhealthy, sluggish, bloated and heavier. However much you try to stick to foods you’ve been told are ‘healthy’, or even organic, you may still be unable to achieve your full health potential. Although the concept is simple, it is critical in allowing you to reach your goals.

Food Intolerances

A food intolerance is when your body is having difficulty breaking down or digesting certain foods or food ingredients. Food intolerances cause inflammation and consequently stress the immune system. If left unchecked this can lead to many health problems, such as; autoimmune or chronic diseases, obesity, anaemia, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, infertility, psychological disorders and behvioural/learning issues in children. Although food intolerances may not manifest into obvious symptoms, indications would include bloating, hives, headaches, irritable bowel, stomach aches, feeling ‘under the weather’, cough and runny nose.
